Just did a bunch of web site updates and fixes. I’ve been looking at a bunch of other sites, all kinds, trying to get a handle of readability. Using some basic ideas I mapped out what I thought the site should look like. One thing I really wanted to get right is the layout of everything. This required really figuring out how use flex shorthand. Markup and all the things used to format and set out pages really are a mess. Just hobbled together.

Changed the coloring and fonts as well for readability and to make it less jarring. Added social media links and such dynamically at the footer of the page.

Otherwise all the pages were moved over and look about the same as before. The page/article headers look much better. The “(DOT)com” from the original site is gone, now its just my name. Might even reduce it to just “Duane”.

I’m going to try and update regularly as well as dump things into Blogger or Wordpress. Some kind of weird journal that would hang around even after I’m dead. At lest for a few months.

The only things outstanding are displaying tags and categories at the foot of articles and putting discus support back.
