Nihilism: The Recurring End of Civilization

or "Come on in buddy the water's ice cold."

Yeah, so just as a note. This post may have been started Feb. 8th 2024, but may be finished on some future date. So buckle up buddy.

TLDR: Basic premiss is people who thing “history will end” are wrong. History goes in cycles, over and over. THe only way to stop the cycle is by creating new history. People are always trying to stop this because they want to permanently secure power. Essentially to “stop history” because history is disruption. Or at least indication of such. By trying to stop disruption, people in power create the precises scenario that forces it.

Now for the snarky commentary…

To put is bluntly, a large number of people like to suffer. So, in large industrial societies where legitimate abject poverty is very rare, bored drives these pricks (see ass-holes vs pricks(cunts)) to want to burn everything down. You always have to assume everyone thinks they’re the hero of the story. To without anything to give the perception of purpose to their lives or even to keep them busy enough to not notice how bad things are, people fall into a malaise.

At this point they subconsciously start to find out ways to make themselves the villain, or as they like to see it: “to fix this shit”. These are people who can’t balance a check book, don’t understand why (at 24 y/o) they aren’t a CEO of a major corporation, or can’t even figure out what sex they are. But they have a whole bunch of, neatly provided, recommendations on how to fix THE WHOLE ECONOMY, the planetary environment, daily traffic, and in fact YOUR LIFE, whether its screwed up or not. They have a whole lot to say about the first and the last ones in that list.

I’m nothing like this. I try as hard as possible to avoid people. I have no interest in their drama or is being the manufactures source of their additional drama. I am a home-body. When I do go out, I want to go outside into a wooded area and camp or something. When I do go out, its to do something with friends that I’ve known for decades.
